Paint Protection Film: Porsche 911 Turbo S
An absolute classic in the automotive world, this timeless Porsche 911 Turbo S is one of the most iconic luxury vehicles to have ever hit the road.
Having arrived at Prestige PPF painted in Gloss Jet Metallic Black, the owner wanted to completely change the feel of the car whilst keeping the aggressive race-ready look.
After some long discussions, the owner decided to go with a Gloss to Satin conversion. This type of PPF is one of our favourites here at Prestige PPF. The transformational powers of Xpel Stealth paint protection film, allows us to convert the shiny gloss finish of the vehicle paint into a soft, matte like Satin finish.
This type of PPF installation is one of the most popular forms of paint protection film we install. The ability to protect vehicle paint and change the appearance of your vehicle at the same time is amazing.
To complete the look, we used Suntek window film to tint the windows and tie it all together. This was definitely one of our favourite PPF Gloss to Satin conversions of the year.
911 GT3 RS
The Porsche 911 GT3 RS is a pinnacle of engineering, combining cutting-edge technology with a visceral driving experience. Its track capabilities and road-legal status make it a standout in the high-performance sports car segment, celebrated for both its heritage and its modern-day achievements.
We Protected the entire vehicle with Xpel Ultimate film, equipping it to handle the road or track at any speed. The additional windscreen protection we installed gives complete peace of mind for the driver. The final result is simply gorgeous!
Gloss to Satin PPF Conversion: Porsche Cayenne
This Porsche Cayenne owner wanted to change the shiny Gloss effect of this vehicles paint to a subtle and stylish Satin finish.
Usually, the cost to repaint an entire vehicle is very expensive, irreversible and new paint alone offers no protective qualities. The ideal solution to this problem is Xpel Stealth.
Xpel Stealth is a type of PPF film, that allows the installer to completely transform the overall aesthetic of a vehicle. The film’s magical properties instantly changes the way your original paint colour is perceived and presents the vehicle as brand new.
One further benefit to choosing protective films over repainting is the additional protection . A new paint job will provide you with your desired look, however the new paint will still be unprotected and therefore vulnerable to damage. Due to the irreversible nature of repainting, there’s also the consideration of value loss in opting to repaint a perfectly fine vehicle.
By using PPF to change your vehicles paint finish, you not only benefit from a cosmetic change and the properties of paint protection film, but you also preserve the condition of your original gloss paint. Therefore, you can remove the Satin PPF if you choose to and still enjoy the unchanged Gloss paint beneath.
Porsche 918 Spyder
A Vision of the Future
The 918 Spyder’s design draws inspiration from both Porsche’s storied past and its forward-looking vision. Introduced as a concept car at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show, it immediately captivated the automotive world with its sleek lines and aggressive stance, signalling a new direction for high-performance vehicles.
Aerodynamics and Aesthetics
At first glance, the 918 Spyder’s design is a blend of elegance and raw power. The car’s aerodynamic bodywork, crafted from lightweight carbon fibre reinforced polymer reduces weight while enhancing structural rigidity. This material choice not only improves performance but also allows for more fluid and dynamic shapes, contributing to the car’s stunning visual appeal.
Inspired by Racing Heritage
The 918 Spyder’s design is heavily influenced by Porsche’s success in motorsports, particularly the legendary 917 race car that dominated Le Mans in the early 1970s. This heritage is evident in the car’s mid-engine layout, which ensures optimal weight distribution and balance. The cockpit’s design, with its emphasis on driver engagement and visibility, also harks back to the minimalist interiors of classic racing cars.
Engineering Marvel
The Porsche 918 Spyder isn’t just about looks; it’s a technological tour de force designed to deliver unparalleled performance. Under the hood, it features a hybrid powertrain that combines a naturally aspirated 4.6-litre V8 engine with two electric motors, one on each axle. This setup provides a combined output of 887 horsepower and 944 lb-ft of torque.
A Legacy of Innovation
The Porsche 918 Spyder is more than just a hyper-car; it’s a symbol of Porsche’s relentless pursuit of innovation and excellence. It’s design and engineering push the boundaries of what’s possible, blending performance, efficiency, and aesthetics in a way that few cars can match.
As a limited-production model, with only 918 units ever made, the 918 Spyder represents a rare convergence of art and technology. Each car is a testament to Porsche’s commitment to creating vehicles that not only perform exceptionally but also inspire passion and admiration among automotive enthusiasts.
In the annals of automotive history, the Porsche 918 Spyder stands as a beacon of what can be achieved when tradition meets innovation, and when a company dares to envision the future while honouring its past.
Paint Protection Film: Porsche 911 992 GT3
Another beautiful example of the 911 received the paint protection treatment today.
Arriving at our west London studio in a stunning blue colour, the owner wanted to give this vehicle the works with a complete PPF protection package. We began, as always, with a comprehensive inspection and detail of the car, making sure the current condition of the paintwork is free from any imperfections or defects.
Occasionally, but more common than one would hope, brand new vehicles will leave the factory with small imperfections to the paint. Under normal observation and to the untrained eye, these may seem unnoticeable , however once PPF is applied, they will magnify these imperfections. The solution is paint correction and our in house team of paint specialists are skilled practitioners, removing any trace of a defect.
Once the preparation work is completed, the vehicle is ready for the start of the PPF application. Our expert detailers made quick work of protecting this masterpiece and used high quality, industry leading film, Xpel Ultimate.
To complete the process, the interior was protected with Xpel Fusion Plus ceramic coating.
Paint Protection Film: Porsche Cayenne

High end vehicles deserve high end materials and so protecting this Porsche in Xpel Ultimate PPF was a natural choice. This vehicle arrived in perfect condition so applying the PPF at this stage in its lifecycle was absolutely ideal. PPF works to freeze the particular condition of a vehicle in time, preserving that state for years and years into the future.
As you can see by the finished installation, this perfectly preserved and protected Porsche is ready to take on anything!
